2014 Image Retrospect
Being able to finally blog something again is nothing short of rejuvenating, like a breath of fire on a parched and windswept prairie, I am feeling a new start is at hand. This last year was one of the greatest adventures I have ever had, not only as a wedding photographer but also as a father, husband, and artist. I shared very little of my wedding work in 2014, not because I didn’t want to but because I was truly filled to the brim with responsibility, fascination, and commitment. I am working towards a better understanding of what it is that makes me happy in what I do, so I can continue making and fulfilling the core values of what I have always wanted to do in this industry since I started. Since day one I have always felt that doing this full time would be a creative outlet for me, that every couple I met would inspire me to do something lasting, irrevocable, and full of wonderment, all the things that I would consider the very foundation and properties of love. As I move toward a wider focus on commercial photography I want to tighten up and really focus my wedding business into something incredibly unique and motivating. There are so many wonderful parts of this industry and I am so thankful for the lives and lands I have touched through my camera. Every person seen in these photos pushed me creatively this year, to be able to travel and work is one of the greatest luxuries in this life and I will not forget how fortunate I am, I owe much of why I get to do this full time to them. I also need to give many thanks and praise to my sidekick and second shooter through this last season, without her, the adventure would simply be just a story.
